What Goes Into Your Turn-In Bill
Mileage overage is typically the biggest surprise — at $0.15–$0.30 per mile, even a few thousand extra miles adds up fast. The disposition fee (also called a turn-in fee) is charged by most manufacturers when you return the vehicle and don't lease or buy again from them — usually $300–$400. Wear and tear charges cover damage beyond what the lessor considers "normal use," and can be disputed in many cases. Remaining payments apply if you're returning the vehicle early.
